Open Practice @ Lake Cumberland Speedway goes April 8th

Burnside, KY (April 4, 2017):
Lake Cumberland Speedway and track promotor and owner Brandon Hardgrove are excited to open the gates for the first time in few years as there will be an open practice for all divisions on April 8, 2017. After a good period of idle time at Lake Cumberland Speedway also known as "The House of Hardcore Mayhem", action returns and opens up with an open practice Saturday April 8th. With strong fan support and support of many racers and drivers along with support in the racing community, Mr. Hardgrove decided that it was time to renew and open up the page of a new chapter for Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY. Regular weekly racing program at Lake Cumberland Speedway will consist of action in the Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, and the Stock Four Cylnder divisions. There has been numerous renovations done to the track and facilities including upgrades in the concessions, bathrooms, and bleachers. Walls have also been painted and some work done in the pit area and around the facilities.

Of note, the season opener will be April 15, 2017 and will the "Spring Shootout" featuring a full racing program of Late Models, Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, and Stock Four Cylinders. Full details for the "Spring Shootout will be released at a later date inlcuding admission prices, gate times, and so forth.

Activities for the Saturday April 8th open practice will see the Grandstands and pit area open at noon and practice will begin around 2:00 pm. Admission prices for the open practice will be $15 for the pit area while the General Admission area will be free.
