CARNESVILLE, GA – The 2017 Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley season will open this Saturday night with the first race on the 2017 Introductory Pilot Schedule the 60-lap $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway.

The Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE MOV Region will not race for a point fund in 2017, as the series was formed by the time most tracks had their scheduled set for this season. That leaves plenty to time and opportunities to get ready for 2018, as there are already races scheduled, points will be awarded and a point fund will be paid.

The 2017 Introductory Pilot Schedule for the Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE MOV Region will see seven races that include two co-sanctioned events with other ULTIMATE Regions, and five National events. This will give race teams in West Virginia and Ohio an opportunity to run with the ULTIMATE MOV Region before next season.

National events are ULTIMATE Super Late Model races that pay $10,000-to-win or more. Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE MOV competitors are encouraged to compete in National events to get familiar with the Series.

In addition to the 60-lap $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth this Saturday night, Virginia Motor Speedway will also host the second of two richest single-day Regional Super Late Model races in the country on June 3 with the $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start USA 100.

The month of April will also see a $10,000-to-win ULTIMATE National race on April 28 at Dublin Motor Speedway in Dublin, NC. Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN will host a pair of ULTIMATE National events in 2017. The first Volunteer Speedway ULTIMATE National event will be a $10,000-to-win race on May 29, and the second will be a $12,000-to-win race on August 17.

The Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE MOV Region will tri-sanction a $4,000-to-win race with the ULTIMATE South East Region and the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Region at Beckley Motorsports Park on June 2. The ULTIMATE MOV Region will team up once again with the ULTIMATE BoB Region to co-sanction a $4,000-to-win race at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, OH on October 28.

“ULTIMATE MOV Director Robbie Cyrus is working hard, not only to book more races for 2017, but he has already booked race for 2018, and we anticipate a full schedule next season with a point fund,” ULTIMATE Founder and CEO Stan Lester said. “These National events will take on more meaning next season because ULTIMATE Super Late Model races paying $10,000-to-win or more are considered National events. If the National event is outside of a competitor’s home Region, they may use points earned in the National event to replace a Regional event point total of lesser value.”

Lester said he is excited about having the first Dave Poske’s Performance Parts ULTIMATE MOV Region race this Saturday at Virginia Motor Speedway with the 60-lap $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth this Saturday night.

“Virginia Motor Speedway Owner/Promoter Bill Sawyer hosts the richest single-day race in all of Regional Super Late Model racing with the Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth $20,000-to-win race, and he does it twice a year with the $20,000-to-win USA 100 on June 3,” Lester said. “This is a great opportunity for West Virginia and Ohio race teams to try the ULTIMATE brand of super late model racing at one of the finest racing facilities in the country, get a taste of how we run our races, and get to know our officials. In addition to that, they also have a great opportunity to make some good money.”

On Saturday at Virginia Motor Speedway, the pit gate opens at 3 p.m., with ULTIMATE Pre-Race Registration and Technical/Safety Inspection from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Drivers need to bring their helmets and head and neck restraint systems to Tech along with their race car. The Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and Hot Laps are set for 6 p.m.
