    Default Priming dry sump issues

We are trying to prime our dry Sump. We cannot get oil pressure and have smoked 2 drills. When we run the drill and stop, the pump starts to spin the opposite direction. We pulled on the belt by hand and it gets so hard to turn the pump the belt starts slipping. Any ideas what is going on?

Sounds like you are dead heading the pump somehow. Trying to push oil into a place where it can't flow and don't belong.

Your plumbing is most likely wrong. What block do you have?

Figured it out, had helped hook up the lines to the filter. Had the in/out reversed, thanks guys

I would replace that filter just in case the high pressure in the reverse direction damaged or collapsed it.
