Riley Hickman Pockets Chevrolet Performance Cash at Boyd’s Speedway

Cleveland, Tennessee (04/17/17) – Riley Hickman bided his time on Saturday night at Boyd’s Speedway before taking the lead with just five laps remaining in the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series event. He would go on to pocket the $3,000 winner’s check in his Hickman Manufacturing #R1 CVR Super Late Model as he claimed his first win of the season.

“Jeff [Smith] really had a good car there tonight, and I had to find my exact spot to get past him,” Hickman commented. “We’ve had a slow start to the year and some bad luck to go with it, but it feels great to finally get the first win of the year.”

On Saturday evening Riley Hickman returned to Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. Recording the third fastest time overall in a field of 25 cars, Hickman locked into the 3rd-starting spot for the feature. Waiting until the final laps to make his move to the front, Riley cruised to his first victory of the season after taking the lead on the 46th circuit. Pocketing a $3,000 payday for his efforts, Hickman was followed across the finish line by Jeff Smith, Austin Smith, Jake Knowles, and Ryan King in the 50-lapper.
