    Default Seat Mount

I know most of these chassis have stock mounts but not everyone runs the same width seat. Do yall run custom mounts on the bottom or just put a bushing between the bracket and the seat?

Or do you all run mounts underneath of the seat?

I run two 1/2" bolts through the bottom of the seat and the mount that was on the chassis when built (which really is just 1/8" thick steel). I made my own mount for the back of the seat, 4 bolts through the mount/seat and the two that mount it to the chassis (also through the original mounts provided). I run my seat canted to the left, which requires me to place a spacer underneath the right side.

After thinking about it I determined the greatest stress on the seat is the side load, or possible twisting when turning left. The seat does nothing for us in a forward crash and the mere design of the roll cage/floor keeps us from going down or back. So, in a crash or roll over, it's the belts that are going to keep us in place, and hopefully safe.

The original seat in my MB was fastened with four 1/4" bolts...yikes!
