Ponderosa Speedway Friday Night Thunder KDRA Super Stocks $1,200 to win May 5

Junction City, KY (April 30, 2017)- After last week’s postponement, Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius will have the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” back in action this Friday evening May 5 as the KDRA Super Stocks will race for $1,200 to win in the Friday Night Thunder event, along with a full racing program for Pro (Crate) Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Stock Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

The Friday May 5 Friday Night Thunder racing card at Ponderosa Speedway will highlight the KDRA Super Stock division, with their main event being 25 laps and paying $1,200 to win. Also on the Friday May 5 racing schedule will be Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win and Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $800 to win. Completing the racing program on Friday May 5 will be the Stock Four Cylinders racing for $400 to win and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All division in competition will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions. The track utilizes transponder timing/scoring and transponder rental will be $10 and RACEceivers are mandatory for use in all divisions each time a driver is on the track.

Activities for the Friday May 5 Friday Night Thunder event at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 p.m., with practice/time trial combo laps set to begin at 7:30 p.m., while the first race will take the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times EDT. Ticket prices for the Friday May 5 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $35.
