    Default Metric Car Skating

My car skates through the middle of te turn like crazy ona dry slick track and I just can't keep it on the bottom, what can i do to help this? It's an all stock metric 4 link, stock mounts and stock steering components, but with racing springs.I run 11" front springs 1000-1200 and split heighth rear springs 200-250 with 100 lbs of bite. I've lowered air and stagger and nothing seems to tighten the car up on entry and middle. If you need any more info on the car just ask! Thanks!

800 LF 900 RF 150 LR 225 RR, 51.5-52 Rear Percent 54% Left side. 250 Lbs LR bite. 1 1/2 Rear stagger. 0-1" front Stagger. 15-18 lbs in Right Tires 8-10 Left Side. Get as much LF camber as you can get get the offset upper Cross Shaft for the control arm if you have to run stock uppers. about -5 degrees RF camber and 2 degrees of caster split. 1/4" of toe out to start. Ride Heights set fronts to inner and outter pivot points level as a baseline but 7 1/4 -7 1/2 LF is ballpark, Around 7 1/2 to 8"RF, 7 1/2 8" LR and 8-8 1/2 RR I set the fronts and never touch them once i get all my front end setting straight and get my LR bite with rear adjustments.

put the smallest tire you can find on left rear - largest on right rear you can find ,borrow for test if you have too. try for 6 inch stager ,now foot down and open mind. best lesson you can get. is it tight or loose

cost wise from what you posted I would just swap your front springs first and foremost, your not saying if you have 4 wheel drift or a push, but either would be improved a lot by softer rf

your front springs are not doing much being that stiff, the heaviest I ran in the last 8 seasons in a metric was 800

Forgot to mention my %s 53 rear, 51.7 left, and 50.7 cross. I tried a 16-15 250-200 on the readr tonight and the car felt great except it just broke loose all of a sudden 6 laps in. To clear up my skating problem it is like a 4 wheel drift into the middle of the turn, its almost like I have no side bite and lose all momentum and foward bite along with it. Softest Ive ran on front springs is 1000-1100, I hate to make the car any looser in when its already feeling like a loose/sliding drift. Thanks for the help so far guys!

Softer rf will tighten the car off the gas, on entry. I ran 1400lf. 1000rf very successfully on a metric car.

P.S. your spring heights don't matter. Your ride height does.

Alright guys hate bumping my thread, but I dropped my front springs from 1000lf 1200rf to 1100lf and 1000rf and put a 25lb stiffer spring on my rr and my wheel weights only changed 8-10lbs per wheel... That can't be right can it?

Stiffer springs should not change your corner weights at all if your ride heights are the same.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!
