It should be and usually is $18 for a POWRi show. This week it's $15 because for some reason I have faith that people want to come to a race track this Friday and we'll get enough. Prove me right.

We haven't raced in so long, I forgot which month it was on our graphic and had to change it! It's May Kenny . April showers are over. Time for some May Wow-ers, like this Friday Night MAY 12th at Jacksonville Speedway! It might not be our biggest show of the year... but whenever the midgets come to Jacksonville Speedway you can bet it's always going to be one of the best shows of the year. Never a dull moment with some of the best racing you will ever see. If you've ever wanted to pay us a visit... this would be a great night to do it. This Friday the POWRi National Midget Series comes to Jacksonville Speedway joined by 305 Winged Sprint Cars, Street Stocks, Micro Sprints and Division II Midgets. Adult Admission is $15, Ages 11-18 $7, Kids 10 and Under Free. Pit passes are $30. Pit gates open at 4:00, Grandstands at 5:00. Racing at 7:00

Midwest Season Opener Weekend Belleville, IL – This weekend the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League will be featured at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois Friday night alongside the POWRi Lucas Oil Division II Midget League and the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League. Saturday, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League and POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League will venture to the high-banked “Mighty” Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. Heading into the Midwest Season Opener Weekend, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League saw a repeat winner and a career-first during the Missouri Mid State Midget Nationals Weekend, with Tyler Thomas taking his seventh-career feature win with the League at Valley Speedway, while Tyler Courtney wheeled his way to win number one with the League at the title sponsor-owned, “Diamond of Dirt Tracks,” Lucas Oil Speedway. In most recent POWRi Lucas Oil Division II Midget League competition, repeat winner Tyler Vantoll took the win at Lincoln Speedway on Friday, May 5th holding off Mitchell Davis. Saturday, May 6th, Ryan Probst claimed a career-first at Sycamore Speedway, resisting Tyler Vantoll’s last lap challenge. The most recent running of the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League saw repeat winners at I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Frank Flud and Frank Galusha each took wins making the Fourth Annual Turnpike Challenge, the “Frank” show. Nathan Benson again proves to be the one to beat when it comes to consistency, as the four-time champion is already atop the charts, leading the standings heading into the weekend. Share with your fellow racers coming Friday. The center 3 lanes of Morton Ave are closed on the East half of town. This extends for over a mile. If we get a race hauler parade started on a Friday afternoon, you'll be sitting in traffic for a LONG time. Go around Jacksonville on 72 and come in from the West. Even if you try to come in from South Main, you are still going to hit it. Take the Route 67 exit off of 72, then work your way back to the Speedway. As for fans.... it's not too bad in a passenger car, so you can still come get your propane filled at ILMO, oil changed at Neal, Rent a U-Haul at AB&C, get your smokes at JB Hawks get a bite to eat at Barneys and a soda at McDonalds on your way in. Race haulers... different story.
