    Default Chp help

I'm currently running pump gas and thinking about switching over to CHP but not sure of what mods have to be done to the carb/fuel system. Running a 650 ultra hp. Is everyone running a return system? Can I just up the jet ?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Pump gas is very inconsistent so this will be a general recommendation---

"IF" your carb is currently calibrated for average pump fuel then increasing the main jets 4 sizes and turning your low speed screws out an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn will put you in the ballpark

a dedicated CHP carb from a professional builder will have different restrictions and bleeds within the carb to fine tune the timing between circuits but the increase in fuel through the main jet will get you racin

as for the type of regulator
we always recommend a return regulator when using CHP
the reason is ---CHP has a very low vapor point in relationship to temperature and will easily vapor lock with under the hood heat conditions.
a return system continually moves fuel helping to prevent vapor lock
a dead head regulator actually increases the chance of vapor lock
