Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Visits Daugherty, Kickapoo May 20, 21

Glasgow, KY (May 11, 2017)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will now begin it’s 2017 season with a weekend doubleheader with the tour’s first-ever visit to Daugherty Speedway in Boswell, IN on Saturday May 20, followed by a Sunday May 21 stop at Kickapoo Motor Speedway in Danville, IL. Both events will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Daugherty Speedway in Boswell, IN on Saturday May 20. The tour will be in competition in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Daugherty Speedway on Saturday May 20 will be the track’s Pro (Crate) Late Models, Street Stock, Pure Stock, and Sport Compact divisions. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50. Daugherty Speedway uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder will be $5. All drivers that start a B-Main, but do not transfer to the A-Main, will receive $50 tow money.

The following evening on Sunday May 21, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Kickapoo Motor Speedway in Danville, IL. The tour will be in competition in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event. Ticket prices for Daugherty Speedway on Saturday May 20 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 $5, and children ages 5 and under free, while a pit pass will be $35.

Activities for the Sunday May 21 event at Kickapoo Motor Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area open at 1:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 4:45 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing at 6:00 p.m. All times CDT. Ticket prices for Kickapoo Motor Speedway on Sunday May 21 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, children ages 6 to 12 $5, and children ages 5 and under free, while a pit pass will be $35.
