Default Chevelle frame stock car questions

I have a 68-72 Chevelle frame stock car. My set up at this point is 52% left, 52% cross and 53% rear. Springs are 900 RF, 800 LF, 250 LR 175 RR. I am lacking side bite and drive off. The car gets in the corner great. I am thinking I may have the front sprung too heavy. I am only getting about 2-3" of shock travel on the right side, there is no body roll. Any suggestions appreciated.

Without knowing your car's weight & a couple other things I don't think your front springs are too heavy but I would suggest dropping your LR spring to a 225 and, mainly, getting the cross down to 47.5-48.5%. That should really help.

Sorry I forgot. Car weighs 3190# with me in it and has 225# of LR bite.
Never thought of running the cross that low. I have always run cross above 50%. Always ran leaf cars in the past. Wouldn't dropping the cross loosen the car even more? As I said the car gets in great, just gets loose off with no bite.

Not sure what wheel offsets you are running, but I would suggest 2" offsets up front with a 1" spacer on RF. Pull in RR with a 4" offset if you can and move all of your weight straight up as high as you can to help with the transfer. It the car wont roll over after that, something is binding up.

Thats exactly what I have for wheel offsets. I took the springs out tonight to check suspension for binds. Everything is free. I reduced some of the bite and cross. I also double checked my ride heights. my front ride heights were a little low. The next thing to try is raising the fuel cell. It sits down between the frame rails now.
