Delmas Conley Cashes in at Atomic Speedway for First Triumph of 2017 Season!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The patriarch of the racing Conley family - Delmas Conley - laid claim to his first victory of the 2017 campaign on Saturday evening, May 13 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio! Delmas won his heat race in preliminary action and later led each and every circuit of the weekly 25-lap Super Late Model show to pocket the $2,000 top prize. The 75-year-old Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer beat son Rod Conley, Steve Casebolt, Jackie Boggs, and Jeremy Berwanger to the checkered flag! Rod placed second in his heat race prior to moving up one position in the feature en route to the strong runner-up performance behind his ageless father.

On Friday night, May 12, brothers Rod and R.J. Conley were both in the pit area at Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio for the unsanctioned 'King of Hillbilly Hill,' which boasted a $5,000 payday. R.J. ran third in his heat race before blasting past seven competitors during the 40-lapper on his way to an impressive runner-up showing behind only race winner Devin Moran. "Hot Rod" also finished third in heat race action, but was collected in a wreck during the headliner that dropped him to thirteenth in the final finishing order. Full results from both Buckeye State venues can be accessed online on the Midway Speedway Facebook page and www.atomicspeedway.net.

With Delmas and R.J. scheduled to take the upcoming weekend off from racing action, Rod Conley will lead the charge for Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI), as his #71r team is slated to travel north to Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio on Saturday, May 20. The opening night for MCS is Saturday and the Super Late Models will vie for a $2,000 winner’s check.
