you should read a little better it's $35.00 for general admission. Single Day Reserved is $40.00. Besides if I'm not mistaking Sherri don't control the prices the Dragstrip management does. Most WOO Sprint car shows are in the $35.00 - $37.00 range and they fill the stands.

Charging 20 bucks for everyone 14 and under is a huge mistake. Not gonna fly with many families.

I've never been to a WoO Sprint car race. Would I be ok showing up around 5:00? Or should I reserve a seat? I bet they don't get very many late models the next night since this is smack in the middle of the SN.

You should be ok showing up around 5:00pm. Those grandstands hold 8,000 - 10,000 easy.

I'd have to agree. Even tho they have the 28th off, with racing 8 consecutive days prior to this event, I would expect most guys would welcome a day off to make repairs and go over things. Hopefully this event is a success. Glad to see a track in Northern Illinois. Planning on making my first trip to Route 66 Raceway.

Ray Bolinger spanked the field. The stands looked pretty empty

Was this the first race on the new configuration? If so, any word on how the track held up?

I was there last night. The features where good but the need to figure out how to keep more moisture in the track surface especially on the high side. The midget feature was good. Spencer Bayston went for a wild ride while going for the lead in turn 2. The Modified feature was a bit hairy. Kenny Wallace lost a hood pin, Stremme's hood was a bit tore up as well. Jacob Poel & Mike McKinney also had good runs. Allen Weisser's car was fast in the long runs. The sprint feature had a last lap passes for the win. The only negitive was the track wasn't packing and was like cumbs where the coushion would normally be. I think the weather had a bit to do with that as it was hot and windy and the track was drying out fast and would pack that well. Over all the racing was decent. I'd give the show on a scale of 1-10 an 8.5. Track is a bit flat but very wide. Probably close to a 4/10's mile. If they get the track prep figured out I think it will be ok. The Izzo family (LaSalle) was doing the track prep.
