Richmond Raceway Closed May 27; Four Cylinder Fury Next on Saturday June 3

Richmond, KY- May 21, 2017- Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will off this Saturday night May 27, but racing action will return to the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday June 3 as the track will present its annual Four Cylinder Fury event, which pays $1,000 to win for the Stock Four Cylinder division. Also on the Saturday June 3 racing program will be the track’s Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, and KDRA Super Stocks.

Richmond Raceway will present Four Cylinder Fury on Saturday June 3 and the Stock Four Cylinder division will be highlighted in a $1,000 to win main event. Also on the Four Cylinder Fury racing program for June 3 will be the Late Model division racing for $1,500 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, and KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track. Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the Saturday June 3 Four Cylinder Fury racing event at Richmond Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m. All times EDT. Ticket prices and purse information for the Four Cylinder Fury event will be released in another release concerning the event next week.
