Riley Hickman Picks Up Crossville Victory; Busy Holiday Slate Next

Cleveland, Tennessee (05/23/17) – Riley Hickman raced the Rickey Tucker Motorsports #R01 Longhorn Chassis Crate Late Model to the victory on Friday night at Crossville Speedway. It marked his third win of the season.

“Rickey [Tucker] provided me with a really great car, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to drive it,” Hickman said. “We didn’t have the best of luck in the Super Late Model class, so it was nice to salvage the night with a Crate Late Model victory.”

Pulling double duty in the Super Late Model and Crate Late Model divisions, Riley Hickman made the trip to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) on Friday night for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals sanctioned event. In a field of 23 Super Late Models for the $4,000-to-win A-Main, Hickman logged a 22nd-place outing in the 40-lap feature after starting near the tail of the field on a track, where passing was difficult.

In the Crate Late Model division, Hickman found much better luck as he ousted the field in the feature, cruising to his third win of the season over Drew Kennedy, Michael Smith, Perry Delaney, and Ruben Mayfield.

Saturday night will see the action shifting south to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) before drawing to a close on Sunday night at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia). Hickman will enter a final event on Monday evening with a trip to Tri County Race Track (Brasstown, North Carolina) to compete in a Southern Nationals Bonus Series event.
