Summit Racing Equipment AMS Action at Farmer City Halted by Rain

Farmer City, IL- May 26, 2017- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series was set to begin the 2017 season on Friday evening with the first of three-race weekend in Illinois at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL, but Mother Nature would again have other ideas as heavy rains moved over the track area during time trials and halted the action and forced the remainder of the evening’s events to be postponed. This would be the fifth straight rainout for the tour to begin the 2017 season.

The remainder of the race weekend is still on as scheduled as the series now moves to Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway on Saturday May 27 and the weekend concludes at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL on Sunday May 28. The event at FALS will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start and Fayette County will pay $3,000 to win and $225 to start.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series presents UMP Dirt Car Modified sanctioned dirt track entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.
