Brandon Kinzer Grabs Pair of Top Tens in Spring Nationals Stops in Georgia

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team ventured south to the states of Georgia and Tennessee from May 26-29 for a trio of Super Late Model programs. Things kicked off at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia with two Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series showdowns. On Friday at Boyd's, Brandon Kinzer tripped the clock fastest in Group B during qualifying to earn the outside front row starting spot for the $4,000 to win feature event, but a loose racecar and a subsequent door slam by another competitor helped drop BK to tenth in the final finishing order. In a $6,000 to win show on Sunday evening at Rome, Brandon placed fifth in his consolation event and later stormed up inside of the top five in the 50-lapper before eventually settling for a solid seventh place performance.

The tripleheader holiday weekend then wrapped up for the #18 team on Monday night at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series spectacular drew a stellar field of competitors to "The Gap" and a $10,000 winner's check was on the line. Brandon placed sixth in his stacked heat race and later rolled off from the inside of the ninth row in the 50-lap headliner. The Lexington, Kentucky driver then tried to move forward early in the distance before eventually retiring from the race in the nineteenth position. Complete results from all three weekend specials can be accessed online at www.southernnationalsseries.com and www.ultimatesupers.com.

Following the hectic Memorial Day holiday weekend, Kinzer Motorsports is slated to take the next couple of weekends off from racing action. While their next race date is not set in stone, Brandon does not plan to compete over the June 2-3 and June 9-10 weekends.
