Rhett Carter in Seventh Heaven with GIS Triumph

Blackshear, Georgia (06/06/17) – Rhett Carter picked up his seventh win of the season on Saturday night after racing his 44 Trucking #44 Taylor Pools/ Rocket Chassis XR1 / Wildcat Performance Engines Late Model to the feature triumph at Golden Isles Speedway.

After Mother Nature washed away his original plans at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park, Rhett Carter headed to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) on Saturday night, competing in a field of 26 Late Models.

After recording the second fastest time in qualifying, Carter opened the feature by taking control of the lead on the very first lap. Hanging on to the top spot throughout the entire distance, Rhett reeled in his seventh win of the season and a $1,500 payday. Donnie Chappell, John Kellum, Mark Whitener, and Jason Fitzgerald completed the Top 5 finishers.

“It was unfortunate that Volusia’s big show got rained out, but we made the most of the situation and high-tailed it to Golden Isles,” Carter noted. “It was a really stout field of cars so it says a lot about our team to be able to have such a strong performance and get the win.”
