R.J. Conley Beats Brother Rod for PRP Win; Delmas Also on Podium at Atomic!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, nabbed his second feature victory of the 2017 season on Saturday evening, June 3 in the season opener at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio! R.J. swept the racing action on the banks of the Ohio River by earning Fast Time honors, winning his heat race, and leading flag-to-flag in the feature to grab the $2,000 payday. Finishing behind his #71c machine was R.J.'s brother Rod Conley, Kenny Christy, Stephen Breeding, and Kenneth Howell!

"Hot Rod" placed third in his heat race at PRP before advancing up to the runner-up finish in the weekly Super Late Model main event. Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley traveled north to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday night for another $2,000 to win weekly showdown. Delmas gave Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) another podium performance by running third in the A-Main behind only victor Steve Casebolt and runner-up Jason Montgomery. Complete results from both Buckeye State facilities can be viewed by clicking on www.portsraceway.com and www.atomicspeedway.net.

Two CMI teams are currently on the grounds at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the 23rd edition of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’ The three-day crown jewel extravaganza at the hallowed 1/2-mile speedplant will kick off later this evening with a pair of Twin 25s – each of which will pay $5,000 to the winner. A similar show will be on the docket on Friday night at the “Big E” with $10,000 earmarked for each Twin 25 victor. The traditional lineup of six heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap, $100,000 to win ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ will then thrill fans at Eldora on Saturday, June 10. R.J. Conley has transferred into three Dream finales, while his brother Rod Conley will be looking to make his first career feature start. Additional information concerning the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ can be found by visiting www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Delmas Conley – the patriarch of the racing Conley family – is scheduled to head to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, June 10. A weekly Super Late Model program will be held at PRP again this weekend and a $2,000 top prize will be up for grabs.
