CARNESVILLE, GA – Benji Hicks of Mt. Airy, NC has won half of the four FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series races held this season, the second of two victories coming last Saturday night at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. That $3,000 win gave Hicks the point lead in the FASTRAK South East Region point standings.

Hicks won the season opener on April 1 at Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, GA driving the T&K Enterprises Longhorn. It may an understatement that Hicks is looking forward to the next FASTRAK SE event. It will be held on June 17 at Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, GA with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race.

The battle for the 2017 FASTRAK SE Championship has Hicks leading with 122 points and a two-point advantage over Jensen Ford of Piney Flats, TN, who has 120 points. The defending FASTRAK SE Champion Cla Knight of North Augusta, SC is tied for the third spot with former FASTRAK SE Champion Ron Parker of Belwood, NC, ten points behind Ford, with 110 points.

Matthew Nance of Ronda, NC is well in the hunt for the FASTRAK SE title in the fifth spot with 108 points, and Tyler Bare of Rockridge Baths, VA is sixth with 98 points. Phillip Thompson of Knoxville, TN is seventh in the FASTRAK SE standings with 90 points, and he also leads the Rookie of the Year point standings.

Dylan Lewis of Oakland, MD is eighth in the FASTRAK SE standings with 83 points and is second in the Rookie of the Year point standings. Corey Almond of Appomattox, VA is ninth in the standings with 66 points, and he also leads the FASTRAK SE Futures Cup point standings for drivers under the age of 20. Justin Williams of Concord, VA rounds out the top ten with 59 points.

Almond and Williams are not FASTRAK Touring members, which would technically move Teddy Tate, who is third in the Rookie of the Year points, into ninth with 56 points, and Frankie Beard of Hartwell, GA into tenth with 50 points.
