Let's make a deal... We need to be at a $40 pit pass for Tuesday. We should be at a $40 pit pass for Tuesday. I've told other tracks we would join them at the $40 pit pass price. $40 is fair. You are seeing a $25 show plus competing for either $5,000, $1,000 or $500 to win. But I've held off posting a pit pass price so far because I really don't want to make the jump this year. You gotta look at your own house first, and I'm going to blame our smaller pit numbers the past few years for this show on us having to constantly beat the threat of rain. If our pit numbers were where they were 3-4 years ago for Summer Nationals, $35 would be fine. So we are going to stay at $35 one more year and hope that the lower price can somehow offset the lower revenue. Don't forget that we also are letting everyone 18 and under in to the grandstands for only $10 and kids 10 and under Free. We used to be 12 and over paid full price. That kind of stuff adds up in a hurry.... and our check to DIRTcar is the same no matter what we charge. Your part of this deal is... help us prove that fewer bucks = more butts. Find us the extra 100 fans it's going to take to make up the difference in staying put on our pricing one more year. Spend today talking up our race at work and on social media. Share our posts that have actual race details with people you know that might have an interest. Call that buddy you know that you used to go to the races with who might not follow it as much as he used to and ask him to go. It's going to be some great racing.... we won't disappoint.

The East half of Morton Avenue is still one lane in each direction. Please come into town Tuesday from the West using the Route 67 Exit from 72. Especially in a race rig.

What a day! Can't describe the thrill of knowing that the place is ready to go the night before, all buttoned up and ready to show traveling fans and racers why it's a great little joint to watch a car race. Tommy working the track all day making sure he's gonna have it right on the longest day of the year where the sun is going to be our enemy for way longer than normal. Hank Pollock mowing, hosing out the porta potties that had tipped over, Atom Pollock and friend weed-eating. Bergman here to lend a hand. The first rig rolls in.. with plates from Florida... Test the lights, check the sound, realize your work is pretty much done then crack open a cold one and watch an All Star Race from Ohio. The place looks great. The track looks fast. A few more loose ends to button up, then wake-up and say It's Race Day at Jacksonville Speedway! Hope you join us.
