Iron Motorsports Back in Action at Eldora Speedway in Dirt Late Model Dream

(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) Jeep Van Wormer and Iron Motorsports made the trek to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 8-10 for the 23rd Annual 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The crown jewel extravaganza drew 79 Super Late Model competitors to the 1/2-mile speedplant to vie for the whopping $100,000 winner's check. Things kicked off at the "Big E" with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, which paid $5,000 and $10,000 to win respectively.

Jeep started out his extended weekend on Thursday night by finishing seventh in his heat race, fourth in his B-Main, and eighteenth in the 25-lap main event. On Friday evening, Jeep unfortunately blew out a tire while in a transfer spot in his heat race, which helped keep him out of the 25-lapper. When Saturday rolled around in the Buckeye State, the Pinconning, Michigan ace placed fifth in his loaded heat race and was primed to transfer into the 100-lap 'Dirt Late Model Dream' through his consolation race until a broken steering column sent him into the outside retaining wall. The #55 team will take the upcoming June 16-18 weekend off from racing action and their approaching race schedule is currently up in the air. When Jeep confirms any future race date, it will be posted immediately on his website at www.JeepVanWormer.com.
