Default How much is too much LR Bite?

3 link mod , springs on top of housing, solid upper pull bar , 09 shaw 4 link mod converted .... has to race on Asphalt pull off tires...all rules for the class....Driver/owner thinks LR bite = forward bite. Has raced the car with up to 250# of LR bite.... Seems to me LR tire is doing all the work... RR is just there....tight , tight on entry.... backwards of what LR is supposed to do... Passed the optimum LR bite #'s ??? what do you guys think ??

We ran a Dirtworks 3 link on a really hard oil based track many years ago. Our track tire rules were Mccreary hard or extra hard compounds. We fought keeping the rr from overheating and we found the best was to increase bite. We usually started out in the beginning of the year with 225 lbs of bite and increased it to 275 during the summer.

That sounds like the Butler Motor Speedway of old 25jrjr. Sure do miss those days.
