NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader to race with K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series at two dirt ovals in West Tennessee on Sunday and Monday, July 2nd and 3rd

Atlanta, GA - June 24, 2017 - NASCAR top level racing series veteran driver, frequent TV motorsports commentator and legendary dirt track racer, Ken Schrader will compete in the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified portion of two events in West Tennessee over the July 4th Independence Day holiday weekend.

Schrader will bring his top-level open wheel modified race car team to Lexington 104 Speedway near Lexington, Tennessee to compete in the Modified portion of the track’s USCS “Firecracker 100” Speed and Fireworks Spectacular presented by www.rockauto.com and Wendy’s of Lexington on Sunday, July 2nd . On the following night, Monday, July 3rd, less than an hour away, race fans get to see Schrader who is one of the Nation’s top open wheel modified drivers, compete again in the USCS “Fireworks 150” Speed Spectacular presented by K&N Filters at Clayhill Speedway in Atwood, Tennessee.

Schrader has 970 starts in NASCAR’s top three divisions including 763 Sprint Cup and formerly Winston Cup division semi-retired from the Sprint Cup Series at the end of 2013, but has raced in selected ARCA events and concentrates on his dirt track racing efforts. He currently has a very intense 2017 dirt racing schedule on dirt ovals across North America in an open wheel modified race car. Schrader has previously competed with the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modified Series and has been a winner of three USCS events.

Schrader’s Ken Schrader Racing Team currently campaigns cars as team owners in the ARCA Series where he also competes as well during selected events. The successful Ken Schrader Racing ARCA team car driven by Austin Theriault just won the Montgomery Ward 200 ARCA event at Madison, Wisconsin on Friday night, June 23rd. Theriault also leads the point standings in that series for the Ken Schrader Racing team.

On Sunday, July 2nd and Monday night July 3rd Schrader will be at the wheel of his own Federated Auto Parts sponsored #9 open wheel modified racer competing wheel-to-wheel against some of the best open wheel modified racers in the USA, who are all trying to be first to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane.

The USCS events feature three of the Atlanta, Georgia based United Speed Contest (USCS) divisions each night including the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged outlaw sprint cars, the K&N Filters USCS Outlaw Modifieds and the recently formed in 2016, USCS Crate Late Models. All three of the USCS divisions will compete in a full program that includes test and tune hot laps, their dash events for the top 6 finishers from the previous event, plus qualifying heat races and main events .
In addition to the three USCS racing divisions, the Holiday weekend Sunday night racing format at Lexington 104 Speedway also includes a full program of racing in the popular Street Stock and Pure Street divisions plus Vintage race cars. On Monday night at Clayhill Speedway the three USCS divisions compete with the Hobby, Nesmith Street Stocks, E-MODS and Pure Stocks filling another action-packed racing card.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m. at each track on each day. Racing action kicks off at 7:30 pm at each track each evening. Grandstand general admission pricing is as follows; $20 for adults. Youth from 6 years to 11 years old are just $5 and Children 5 years and under are FREE.
