4 Race Weekend in the Mid-Atlantic Region
It is nice to see area promoters working together to put on 4 straight nights of racing for the fans of SLM's in the Mid-Atlantic region. Friday @ Bedford, Saturday @ Winchester, Sunday @ Georgetown and Sunday @ Potomac. With Hagerstown, Delaware International and Port Royal off the mini series should draw nice car counts.
Each of the four nights will pay $3,500 to the winner and $350 to take the green from a purse structure totaling $15,850. The full breakdown follows: 1) $3,500; 2) $1,500; 3) $1,000; 4) $900; 5) $800; 6) $700; 7) $600; 8) $550; 9) $525; 10) $500; 11) $475; 12) $450; 13) $425; 14) $400; 15) $375; 16-24) $350.
A point fund will be paid for the top five in points. The point fund breakdown is 1) $700; 2) $500; 3) $400; 4) $250; 5) $150.
If the weather cooperates, it should be a fun weekend.

It is a big weekend in the Mid-Atlantic, this seems like a nice little series for the LM guys. On a week when they wouldn't be getting much attention in the PA area due to the Sprint Speedweek. Good payouts, and smart promoters taking advantage of the focus being on Sprints to have some big money shows for the LMs to the South. (or West in Bedford's case I suppose). I won't make any of them but hope for great racing and great car counts.
Thanks,
Jeff.

A somewhat disappointing field of 19 SLM's tonight at Winchester considering Hagerstown, Delaware International, & Port Royal were off, plus Selinsgrove being rained out. Not sure why, especially the Hagerstown cars, didn't support the show paying $3500 to win?
-
Not to be picky, but only 17 SLM tonight.. I would've guessed closer to 30, but not totally surprised.. Congrats to Trevor and Co. They seem to have that BWRC figured out.. Wins in 3 of last 4 starts I believe...
I don't always post on 4m.. But when I do, I'm usually sitting on the crapper!!

Port Royal cars either went to Selinsgrove or Hesston for the $3000 to win ULMS race.. While Selinsgrove waited til 4 to cancel and yet again piss everyone off..

06Tireman..... I saw your team was at Hesston as were a few other Port Royal teams. I guess my disappointment was geared more toward the Hagerstown and Delaware International guys....The four promoters put together a nice mini series and payout in my opinion and didn't get the support, at least last night. It will be interesting to see how Georgetown does tonight.

Yeah.. But you gotta remember.. Most of them really don't travel anyway.. So relying on them to follow the series is a roll of the dice..
