One of the Dixie regulars told me tonight that their team was ready to race at Dixie when they learned it was rained out. They turned south, heading for the SAS show at Senoia (a two hour haul) raining all the way. Arriving after hot laps and quals, they prepared to make the show via a B-main. Then they learned the driver had not brought his fire suit.
Probably didn't wash the car from the week before either... Mistakes happen I get it, but things are far too expensive to be making goof-ups like that, 2hrs from home. This lack of attention to detail is why most teams don't run any better than they do, not because they got out spent(as they cry), but because they simply don't give the program the attention required.
History doesn't always repeat, but it does often rhyme.
