cooling your engine has much more to do than just what radiator and coolant you use. lots of variables in how to best keep it at operating temp. depending on your build the operating temp will vary. for instance a cup qualifying engine will operate in the 240-280 temp range vs an super speedway race version that might only be spec to the 210 area. vs maybe a late model engine that is spec to 190-200 . so first you need to know what your engine is built to . optimally. then based on that info you can pick the components that will help maintain your best operating temp. radiator size , pass frequency, water pump volume and flow paths as well as flow patterns along with what coolant you use determine the amount of thermal capacity your cooling sysytem has , that combined with all the exchange characteristics in the entire system will help you get to the most efficient components required for the system to operate . btw there is more power hidden in the cooling system than most believe.

just like chassis setups there is no one size fits all or 1 best option.

Also need to make sure your radiator is closed up, meaning that the air is going thru the radiator and not over or around it. Make sure there is no opening between the nose/hood and the radiator and that the sides are blocked to keep air from going around.
