Summer Sizzler $1,500 to win for KDRA Super Stocks at Richmond Raceway Saturday July 15

Richmond, KY- July 9, 2017- Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will present the Summer Sizzler event at the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday July 15 for the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, paying $1,500 to win, along with all other weekly racing divisions in competition as well in a full racing program.

Richmond Raceway will present the Summer Sizzler event on Saturday July 15 with the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks being highlighted in a $1,500 to win, 25 lap main event. Also in action at Richmond Raceway on Saturday July 15 will be the track’s Sonic Late Models racing for $1,500 to win in a 25 lap main event, Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win in a 20 lap feature contest, and the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win in a 12 lap main event. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track. Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the Summer Sizzler event on Saturday July 15 at Richmond Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m. All times EDT. Ticket prices for the Summer Sizzler event at Richmond Raceway in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while children ages 12 and under are free. A pit pass will be $35, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, and children ages 5 and under are free in the pit area.
