    Default Chaining left front

What is the best way to mount a strap/cable on the left front strut arm? I have been advised to try this - 2009 black front rocket -- thanks in advance

Maybe not the best, but I use a weight clamp on the control arm (the main part running in towards the engine, not what I would call the strut rod section), and run an old submarine belt (crotch belt from a seatbelt harness) from there up to one of the upper control arm mounting bolts. It flexes under compression and is certainly strong enough to hold the weight of the LF suspension.

That set-up can certainly stretch or change over time, so I keep an eye on the measurement. Cheap and easy...no welding.

If that stuff doesn't work, call Rocket and they will ship the whole assembly out to you. That's where I got my cable.

It isn't rocket science. You don't need rocket.

Just put a clamp around the control arm then connect to frame rail with cable or chain and another clamp.

    Why are you doing it?

not really -- a top team at our track suggested we try this as an option indicated it would help in control in carrying the left front

I don't think it will. I think your car is way too violent for that to do it.

Some are adding a weight to the LF lower control arm 5-10# in addition to it.

I would think keeping applied tire load on the LF into the ground would only help. strapping it would keep it floating, there's just not enough weight to keep the car down on the LF. We are trying a few things with taller spring heights and stacking to keep the LF digging and helping turn the car. Jeremy Eibach Springs
