My issue is, you'll put JD in your car, but not your own son back in it? Jared was doing the best he's ever done consistently and was driving more even keeled.

I get I think he was looking out for his health, and didn't want his sons blood on his hands, but he's going to race either way.

It had very little to do with jared's injury as to why he's not driving for lance. If they wanted it public, it would have been told but it's not because of his injury at least 90% of it.
