Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series John Bradshaw Memorial $10,000 to win at Ponderosa Speedway Friday August 25

Junction City, KY- August 16, 2017- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius will host the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the track’s 14th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial on Friday August 25, racing for $10,000 to win. Also in action at the 3/8 mile d-shaped clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday August 25 will be the track’s Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win and KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win. The track’s Open Wheel Modified, Stock Four Cylinder, and Mini-Cup/Cyclone divisions will have the evening off.

The 14th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial event at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday August 25 and will feature the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in full program that will culminate with the 50 lap, $10,000 to win 14th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial A-Main event. Also in action at the John Bradshaw Memorial event on Friday August 25 will be the Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win in a 25 lap main event and the KDRA Super Stocks will be in action for $750 to win in a 15 lap feature contest. All divisions, except for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions, while Super Late Models will have separate practice and time trial sessions. Transponder timing/scoring is used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee for a transponder is $10 for the Pro Late Models and KDRA Super Stocks, while Super Late Model teams will receive their transponders upon sign-in at the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race control. RACEceivers are also mandatory and are required to be in use each a competitor is on the track.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the rules/regulations of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will apply for this event. The tire rule for the event is as follows: Left Rear/Fronts- Hoosier Rib 28.5 – 1350; Right Rear- Hoosier 03, LM40 (no cutting, no siping, no needling). The entry fee for the Super Late Models is $110. Weight rules are as follows: 2350 lbs. for all aluminum/open engines and 2300 lbs. for Steel Block engines, with a one pound per lap burnoff rate allowed in heat races, B-Mains, and A-Main feature event.

Activities for the Friday August 25 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area open all day and will be close and 1:30 p.m. to secure the area and will reopen at 2:00 p.m., while the general admission area gates open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series time trials and green flag racing. Ticket prices for the Friday August 25 John Bradshaw Memorial event in the general admission area will be $30 for adults, with children age 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $45 for adults, with children ages 6 to 12 being $15, while children ages 5 and under are free.
