Mother Nature Claims Racing Program at Ponderosa Speedway for Friday August 18

Junction City, KY – August 17, 2017 – Ponderosa Speedway was set to return to action on Friday August 18, however, Mother Nature has thrown the track a curveball as heavy rains in the area during the day on Thursday and Thursday evening, along with a forecast for more rain moving through the area during the day on Friday, has forced track officials to cancel the racing program scheduled for Friday August 18.

The next event at Ponderosa Speedway will be the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned 14th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial on Friday August 25, featuring Super Late Models racing for $10,000 to win and $800 to start, along with Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win and KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win. The Open Wheel Modifieds, Stock Four Cylinders, and the Mini-Cup/Cyclones will have the event off and will not be in competition.
