    Default DTWC Location

I watched the live show from DirtonDirt this morning. A lot of big time rumors thrown out on the show last night. Carl Short acted like he wasn't sure that the race would be held at PRP next season. I think his answer to Michael asking him if it would be at PRP was "we will have to see how this years event goes". He also went on to say that he kind of likes the idea of the event being moved every few years so more people were able to attend the event from different places. That's very interesting because in recent years, he has stated that PRP is the home of the DTWC for the foreseeable future. Carl said that a couple tracks/owners have called him about the possibility of it being moved to their track. What tracks could this be? Also, what tracks around the Mid Ohio Valley or close have the capabilities of holding this event? Mansfield comes to mind for me. Thoughts?

Mansfield has all the facilities needed, is still close to that base where the race has been held for the most part, and the track surface is improving every time they run there.

I think the Dirt Oval @ Route 66 has the facilities needed for this event. Just a thought.....

All you need is a track. You don't need enough crappers or even places to park. Pennsboro proved that.

Not centrally located enough. Too far east.

Or hardly any concessions, P A systems, night lights, gravel, safety features, scoreboard, security, seats, fences, track prep, more than 1 racing lane etc.

I think the race has outgrown PRP. I love the track and the facilities but they cram everyone into the stands where it's hard to be comfortable. I would like to see it get moved every couple years so new drivers and fans can experience the DTWC at different tracks

Anything but Pennsboro. I still can't believe I used to drive 5 hours each way to get to that dump. Twice a year lol.

Interesting idea. But that would interfere with their Christmas lights displays. They start on those as soon as the night race weekend is over.

My two favorite ideas so far. Ya gotta keep it within a few hours of Pennsboro. Atomic was the best place for it, till Schrader knew he was losing it and stole our money.

Upgrade the stands at Atomic and it’d be nice for it to go back there.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
