Southern Nationals Bonus Series Readies for Showdown at Senoia Raceway October 28th paying $10,000-to-win

BRASSTOWN, NC (October 22, 2017)—The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will head back down to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Ga. this Saturday Night October 28th for the Second Annual Showdown at Senoia paying $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start.

This will mark the third-ever series appearance to Senoia Raceway as Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga. captured both of the series wins in 2015 and 2016. During last year’s Showdown at Senoia, Clanton would go on to claim the $10,000 payday over Michael Page, Brandon Overton, Chase Junghans and Jimmy Owens.

There will be a full show of hot laps, qualifying, heat races, consolation races and the 60-lap main event for the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series on Saturday night. The tire rule for the event is Hoosier 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 48 and 56.

On Saturday October 28th, the pit gates open at 12:00 pm, the grandstand gates swing open at 2:00 p.m., the drivers meeting will be at 3:00 pm and hot laps will roll out around 3:30 p.m. Feature races will begin at 7:30 p.m. Adult general admission is $30.00 and adult pit passes are $40.00. There will be an open practice session on Thursday night and the track will host and un-sanctioned event on Friday night to serve as a tune-up for teams racing for the $10,000 payday on Saturday night.
