    Default Shock drop on axle

I am working on new rear shock mounts on my car and I would like to get some opinion's on how low the shocks and/or the coil overs should be mounted on the birdcages front and rear
    Thanks

I typically do a 5" on front with a fixed shock mount running parallel with rear end housing so heim doesn't bind. (do not use a fixed peg, or stud.
Shock heim will bind due to birdcage rotation (indexing) and bend or break shaft or heim.
I don't like using a clevis, because if a lot of compression is used in the shock it will oblong the clevis pin, or brake the clevis head off.

7-8" on rear of birdcage with clevis for mounting the eliminator and spring

both of my left rear upper mounts are on weight jack screws, so I can get the proper height settings on both, especially the front shock mount.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.
