Richmond (KY) Raceway Awards Banquet Set for Friday December 15, 2017

Richmond, KY – November 22, 2017 – As their final act as Richmond Raceway track promoters, the promotion trio of Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce the 2017 Awards Banquet details, as they will take place on Friday December 15 at the Union City Ruritan Club and Fire Department, which is about five miles from Richmond Raceway. Also, the new track promoters that will be taking over the track beginning with the 2018 season will also be in attendance and will be officially introduced and will meet and greet with the racers and race fans.

The 2017 Awards Banquet will take place on Friday evening December 15 at the Union City Ruritan Club and Fire Department. Doors will open for the 2017 Awards Banquet at 5:00 p.m., with a meal being served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards banquet ceremony that will see the top ten drivers in track points in each division be honored for their accomplishments at the 3/10 mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” during the 2017 racing season.

The cost for the 2017 Awards Banquet is FREE to anyone that wants to attend and dress for the event is casual. Those individuals that plan to attend the event and have a meal will need to contact Larry Yantz at (606) 510-5331 so as to have an idea on how much food needs to be ordered/prepared.

At the conclusion of the 2017 Awards Banquet, the new track promoters that will take over the promotional reigns of Richmond Raceway in 2018 will be formally introduced to all racers and race fans in attendance and the new promoters will take time to meet and greet with those in attendance and answer any questions that individuals may have, along with discussing plans for the upcoming 2018 racing season.

Driving directions to the Union City Ruritan Club and Fire Department are as follows: a) If individuals are coming from Richmond on KY Hwy. 52, they will need to turn left at the Dollar Store onto Charlie Norris Road and individuals will stay on this road and will come to a stop sign, at which time, you will proceed straight ahead until the road dead ends into KY Hwy. 1986. You will then turn left onto KY Hwy. 1986 and your destination will be the first building on the left. b) If individuals take the Richmond By-Pass, they will turn onto KY Hwy. 1986 and go approximately five miles and the destination will be on your left.
