Seeking some North-South info
Thinking about making my first trip to the N-S from Wisconsin ... Thinking of flying into
Cincinnati .. Stay right in Cincinnati and rent a car .. Maybe even stay another day and
catch a Reds game ... Looking for any info ... Best places to stay, eat, drink etc. Info on tickets .. Any general info would be very appreciated. Thank you !

There is a lot of restaurants and hotels around the Florence mall area .. I missed last year because of a work commitment ..i'll try to not let that happen again.

Yes, lots of places to stay, eat at around Florence mall area. Of course all kinds as well in Cinci as well. Reserved tickets go on sale in January, it's a packed house, so get reserved tickets.

There is actually a bar literally 1,000 feet from the track that has some amazing food and nice waitresses....

We like to stay in the mall area as mentioned by others. Keeps you out of the Cincinnati traffic. Easy drive to the track. You'll enjoy it, one of my favorites!

Yeah unless you are dead-set on staying in Cincinnati, I'd suggest something in the Florence area. Gets you a little closer to the track and unless you want some kind of super-fancy restaurant, you can find plenty to eat near the motel.

The series typically has a deal with the Hilton in Florence close to the airport. Good rate, very clean and nice rooms, friendly staff. Close to lots of stores and restaurants. It's only about 12-15 minutes from the track. They will probably have more info on the discount rate closer to race time.

I'm not a baseball fan so id point you away from the downtown area too .... Theres a cool indoor cart track in florence too .... Its hot in aug so maybe a kayak trip along the little miami river ..... Cincy also has a river boat tours .....We also have kings island amusement park just a short drive from the airport .... I think we also have 3-5 casino's in the area with some great food there too ....

Its extremely simple to get to Great American Ballpark for a Reds game from anywhere on I-75. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

You can also park on the KY side of the river (Newport/Covington) and walk across the bridge to the ball park.

Yep, that or the parking garage a block north of the ballpark. Either way is super simple.

Are you referring to the place at the bottom of the hill at that intersection. If so, I've always wondered about that place, looks like my kinda joint. I always take Pops to this one though, he's not much of a bar patron so I've never been. I've got 4 tix this year, so maybe me and an ol buddy of mine can sneak down while our dads hang out in the pits haha

there's a couple of hotels at the richwood exit off of I75 just 3 or 4 miles east of track...awesome race and one of my favorites
after hot laps I'll pick the winner
