    Default Oil Bath Front Rotors

Is running oil bath front hubs and bearing preload spacers on an IMCA Stockcar worth the extra expense?

I know the preload spacers are well worth the expense.

spacers yes. oil no. you only need a finger swipe of good grease, you dont need to PACK the bearings

yes the spacers work good all around.

more important than the spacers is a great grease and only using about as much as you would if putting on chap stick.

The roller BALL bearings with the spacers are the ticket on the rear.

Thanks for all your info! Do you have a good starting point for setting up a stock car?

    900/800
    275/275

    no lead behind axle
if you have a lot of lead mount it low as near the transmission as possible in ONE pile
If not a lot 100 or less shoulder height behind seat is good

I liked 200 cross, 50 rear max, left my shop at 48 always low on fuel ready for heat

I quit racing and dont want to get into a lot of tech. I just check in once in a while since this forum is all but dead in the tech and there are some non racers replying more than anything.

One more question the car had a 10 gallon fuel cell in it when I bought it would it be advantageous to put a 22 gallon cell in?

No I ran a 12. you want the least amount of weight possible in the rear.

and you want to run the least amount of fuel possible.

if a 8 will finish all your features then run a 8

I ran a 12, filled it to 8-10 gallon level for the feature and ran what was left the next week for the heat races. that was my method. If I put 12 in for a real dry feature I sucked some out for the next weeks heat
