    Default Drive shaft

    Aluminum driveshafts are rated at 600hp. What do guys run with 800hp? What other options are there other than carbon?

    Carbon is the way to go no matter the hp, and is required imho if you are running a ballspline trans.

    100% agree with above statment
    I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.

    Not sure I ever saw a rating on an aluminum shaft before, but they are regularly used in 800HP+ LM's all the time without any issues. I'd guess you may have seen a rating on a drag type shaft where they leave from a dead stop.
