Fals pdc 2018
Thinking about buying reserved tickets for this summer's race. Never been..... I know I'm a bit late on reserving them but it looks like there's some good seats up high on the front stretch or some in the first four rows going into three and coming out of two. From the videos I've seen I'm thinking the lower on the backstretch would be better. Also would like to tent camp at or near track. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would go with the seats lower on the backstretch

They set the tent camping area up across the street in a fenced in ball diamond. They do have showers on sight at the track to use. New i believe 2 years ago. Actually very nice to use. They also have shuttles setup to run you to different business in the area. They have a public swimming pool also. Ice can be bought at the track or a shuttle can run you up to the gas station for more beer and Ice.

Save space on you way there and shop Daves Supermarket. Good prices, HUGE selections and great meat department. Many local and regional products available also.

The dairy farm down the street is a must stop!

the back stretch is the place to be as its right on top of the track. so i would def get reserved seats were ever you can get them available. Also Daves is 3 blocks away from track if that ice is $3 at the track or 2 for $3 at daves. As far as tent camping goes yes its at the ball diamond across the street plenty of room but no bonfires their at all. If you grill out daves has a decent selection, if you dine out their is plenty of restuarants in the area of the track.

Yes it is. And that's the (dumb) reason they didn't have a new grandstand in the 80's.
It is my understanding that the movie Grandview USA wanted to film there. Offered to build a brand new grandstand if they would let them burn it down for the movie. The board at the time declined because of it's "historical" value.
So now, because of that dumb decision. We have ancient grandstands that are as uncomfortable as you can get and limited viewing. Someone tell me where the "value" is in them now???

That would be cool. You could see Abe Lincoln's hat, the Hope diamond, and Fairbury's bleachers all in one place

Can't get rid of me that easily. Just ask around... 😉

Thank you very much .. This will be my 2nd PDC (first was 2016) and I went first time not knowing how reserved seating worked .. just bought a GA ticket and walked on in and found a place to sit in the covered stands on the front straight.
