This Friday is the first of our First Time Free nights. We are going to be pushing it pretty hard this week encouraging new fans to give us a try. First, we need to thank our regular fans for supporting this promotion and understanding why you are paying regular price of $12 and the person sitting next to you that doesn't come out every week like you do got in free. Thanks for the support you always show as we try to introduce new fans to what we do and what you enjoy. Also don't forget that all kids High School age and younger are free this week as well. How 'bout if you think of it as your night to entertain a few of your friends and kids for $12. We've tried this promotion once or twice before and. you'd be shocked how few people actually take us up on a free ticket. But this week is going to be different - because you are going to help. If we get 150 people to walk through the door Friday as legitimate first time fans - everyone's armband from this Friday (yours included) will get you $3 off the following week's POWRi event. Find a few friends and tell them to visit our website and register for the free ticket at www.JacksonvilleSpeedway.com Note: All first time guests on the promotion will have a different colored armband than our regular attendees. If you see someone with a free armband that shouldn't have been let in free - please let us know and we'll address it. The ladies in the ticket booth are pretty good at recognizing faces so it'll be hard to get past them, so play by the rules please and don't make things difficult. Attention drivers in our regular classes (305, Mods, Crates, Street Stock, Micro and Hornets). We would ask that you, your spouse or your parents please take a few moments and complete the information form at the link below within the next few days. After about 4 years of off and on building and tweaking, I should finish our race management computer program this week. While there are several of them out on the market, I wanted something that gave us options to go to the next level of driver and fan interaction - and I'm confident that what we have might just be the best program out there. It was pretty good last year - now it's getting the bells and whistles. It's going to let you get race lineups on your phone, let fans play pick-em games, check-in by phone if you will be late - or even days before race night, post lineups on TV's around the track, provide information about you to our new announcer Brian, and do a lot of other things... we can even push a button to automatically post lineups and results to twitter or facebook. It would help so much if I could go ahead and get your information into the system instead of us typing a book of incomplete info in a rush on race night at the pill draw table. We have an off week to get this and some other stuff finished. Please take a few mins and try to be descriptive to questions about your family, occupation/hobbies and racing story. It will help Brian so much to be able to take a glance when you pull into the winner's circle and have a story or information to tell about you. Looking at the forecast and a couple of weather models at 5pm Thursday... cross your fingers but it looks like we should stay dry from now through Friday. If that holds true, plan to be racing tomorrow night at Jacksonville Speedway. We got plenty wet and our pits are going to need time to dry, but Friday looks to be beautiful with some sun, heat and a little wind. Just what we need.
