    What is the difference in the way that Woo scores compared to Lucas?

    A. Last Chance Showdown Qualifier Point Distribution: First car of any Last Chance Showdown Qualifier that doesn’t transfer to
    the A Feature will receive 90 points. Points will drop 2 points per position for the remainder of the Last Chance Showdown
    finish position to minimum of 60 points.
    B. In the rare situation that the last starter in the feature event earns 90 or less points, the first car of any B-main qualifier that
    does not transfer to the event will receive two less points than last place in the feature event.
    C. 60 (show-up) points will be awarded to all members in good standing, who attempt to qualify a car, but fails to qualify for the
    feature event.
    D. If a race is cancelled and rescheduled and a member in good standing is unable to return due to extenuating circumstances,
    then that member may be awarded (60) show-up points if they were present and prepared to race on the original date.
    E. If a race is cancelled after racing activities have started due to inclement weather 60 ‘show up’ points will be awarded to each
    driver in attendance.
    F. In the event of a tie that occurs during the season, the driver that placed highest in the most recent completed event will be
    listed ahead in the overall Championship Point Standings.
    G. In the event that a tie should occur in the final Championship Point Standings at the end of the season, the tie will be broken
    using the following tiebreakers in order; Most feature wins, most second place finishes, most third place finishes, etc.…, until
    the tie is broken. In the event that the tie remains unbroken by finishes the tiebreaker will result to qualifying results from time
    trial in the same manner.

    Vs lucas

    Earning Points
    A.) ​Every driver receives fifty (50) “participant points”, as long as they pay an entry fee and compete in (at
    least) Time Trials, Heat Race, or a B-Main.
    B.) Overall Fast Qualifier will receive ten (10) points for setting fast time per an event in both Groups A
    and B.
    C.) B-main Points will be awarded as follows to B-main non-transfers:
    1st 70 14th 25
    2nd 65 15th 25
    3rd 60 16th 25
    4th 55 17th 25
    5th 50 18th 25
    6th 45 19th 25
    7th 40 20th 25
    8th 35 21st 25
    9th 30 22nd 25
    10th 25 23rd 25
    11th 25 24th 25
    12th 25 25th 25
    13th 25 26th 25
    D.) To receive B-main points, driver must start B-main event.
    E.) Points and/or Fast Time Provisional transfers receive only feature points.
    F.) Promoter’s Option does not receive A-main points and will be awarded B-main points based on
    B-main finish.
    G.) A-main Points will be awarded as follows:

    8.2 Hardship Points
    A.) ​Hardship points (75 points) can be earned and continues a driver’s perfect attendance in the event of
    a hardship. The hardship points are only available for those drivers with perfect attendance. The peers of
    the driver who have perfect attendance by a closed vote award hardship points. The series will not vote
    unless a tie breaker is needed. This will be handled by the series contacting the perfect attendance
    drivers to vote on the hardship. If a driver races at an event during this hardship event the driver will forfeit
    all hardship points. If a driver who receives hardship points decides to drop from the series he will forfeit
    his hardship points.

    I don't really know which point break is better. Woo keeps point closers together, 1st is the only one gets little extra points. 1st gets 4 points over 2nd, the 2nd down its 2 point drop from finishing position to position.

    Lucas award 1st-3rd, 1st gets 20 points over 2nd, 2nd gets 10 points over 3rd, 3rd gets 10 points over 4th. From there it a 5 point drop for finishing position to position.

    Lucas gives fast time overall in qualifying 10 points.

    I mean, when there is only a 50 point difference between first and last place, something is little flawed in the WOO system. Just my opinion, of course. In Lucas there is a 50 point difference between first and sixth place. Another example of a series that is a bit inferior trying to make their series more relevant by keeping the points race "closer" by the looks on paper. A guy only 75 points out could never take the lead from the top spot, even if they finished first and the points leader finished last. Still, by the casual fan, it does make WOO look more competitive.

    it's actually fast time in each group. Meaning 2 drivers get a 10 point bonus per race, unless of course they don't have 2 groups.

    Hmm didn’t know that, that seems to more fair. thanks for correcting me on that.

    Yeah. I didn't know it until last year when the points were so tight. They were discussing it at one of the TV races.
    It does seem fair.

    I'd actually prefer something between the two. WoO scores it too tight, in my opinion, and Lucas scores it too spaced out. Each spot should mean more than it currently does in WoO, and having a bad night or two shouldn't hurt a driver as much as it does in the Lucas series.

    Ive always liked how Knoxville does their points. 100 points for the winner and then 3 points down the line.
