CARTERSVILLE, GA – The Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 8 competition saw two drivers keep their winning streaks alive in two different Divisions, and a new point leader in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division.

Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL opened Week 8 action on Friday night at Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL with his third straight Durrence Lane Chevrolet Late Model Division win of the season driving the Skinner’s Body Shop CVR. The 16-year-old 2015 VP Racing Fuels Young Gun Challenge Series Champion has three 50-point wins in three starts this season.

In other Moulton Speedway action, Chad Winkles was the winner in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division, and Tony Chaney took the victory in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division.

Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS parked it in the Hattiesburg Speedway Victory Lane in Hattiesburg, MS for the seventh straight week of Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series action on Friday night, but for Week 8, it was in a different Division. Idom was the winner in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division, after six straight weekly wins in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division, as Michael Blount of Sumrall, MS was the Week 8 winner.

The 2012 Durrence Lane Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Chase Washington of Houlka, MS took the win on Saturday night at ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division. Bobby Joe Robinson was the Street Stock winner, and Cruz Wallace captured his first Late Model Sportsman win of the season.

North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL hosted all four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions on Saturday night, as Bryant Marsh of Corinth, MS drove the Modern Woodmen Trak-Star to victory in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division. Steve Maughan was the Durrence Layne Street Stock winner, Bryson Mitchell won the Late Model Sportsman race, and Tracey Terrell took the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division win.

Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL was another track with all four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Division on their Saturday night card. T.J. Brittain of Centre, AL took the Late Model win in the Brittain Hauling Warrior, and Jeremy Isbell was the Street Stock winner. Brandon Crosby took the Late Model Sportsman victory, and Andy Davis took his first Modified Sportsman win of the season.

Jamey Boland of Cuba, AL drove the Boland Performance Trak-Star to victory on Saturday night in Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division action at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. Justin McRee of Woodstock, AL was the winner in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division, and Colton Leyendecker was the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division winner.

Jadon Frame of Decherd, TN took his second straight Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division win on Saturday night at Winchester Raceway Park in Winchester, TN, and Mark Haddon was also a winner for the second straight week in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division.

Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division championship contender Mike Lane of Pace, FL took his fourth win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.

Corey Dunn of Milledgeville, GA drove the Delta 21 Logistics CVR to the win on Saturday night in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA.

Peter Hazzard was the winner on Saturday night in Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division action at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS. Carl Kilgore took his first Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division win of the season.

Saturday night Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 8 action at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, and Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE were all rained out.

Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS remains the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division point leader with 390 points. Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is second with 381 points, Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS is third with 371 points, Tim Dees of Meridian, MS is fourth with 352 points, and Washington moved up to the fifth spot with 338 points.

Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is the new point leader in the Durrence Layne Street Stock Division with 382 points. Bryan Fortner of Millport, AL and Lane are tied for the second spot in the standings, just three points behind Ray with 379 points apiece. Idom is fourth with 348 points, and Maughan rounds out the top five with 338 points.

Tody Ratcliff of Meridian, MS continues to lead the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman standings with 362 points. Crosby is second with 348 points, Mitchell is third with 319 points, Mark Thorne is fourth with 296, while Nick Thrash of Meridian, MS and Aaron Fitzhugh are tied for the fifth spot with 294 points apiece.

Justin Angle of Anniston, AL keeps a thin one-point lead over Davis in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division point standings. Angle has 273 points, and Davis has 272 points. Chris Yarbrough is third with 234 points, while Ron Bailey is fourth with 154 points, and Oakley Gillespie is fifth with 148 points.
