Any advantage to running one?

you can run less stagger , we ran this type differential back in the late 90s with no stagger and won a lot of races , now , with today's set ups and the amount of controllable rear steer we have , a solid spool is better IMO , because less stagger is needed........

Same here.....but when it goes bad, you'll chase the car for several weeks!
