Default $20,000 to win ULTIMATE Supers at VMS June 16th

Carnesville, GA – The stage is set for a true regional Super Late Model driver to score the biggest payday of their career on June 16th with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series. The 42nd Annual USA 100 at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway pays $20,000 to win the 60-lap feature. This year’s USA 100 will afford the opportunity for a regional driver to pick up the career defining victory, as the World of Outlaws will be competing at Wayne County and Lucas Oil will be racing at Magnolia. Regional Super Late Model teams will descend on the immaculate ½ mile oval in Jamaica, VA in hopes of capturing the $20,000 check.

“I’m truly excited about the thought of a true regional competitor winning $20,000,” said ULTIMATE founder Stan Lester, “With World of Outlaws and Lucas both racing, it sets the stage for something special.”

The USA 100 will be a Bonus Race for drivers of the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass, ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley and ULTIMATE Northeast. Drivers from those regions have the opportunity to replace a lower finish from their home region with their finish in the USA 100. The Bonus Races are all races that pay $10,000 or more to win in any region of the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series.

The points battle atop the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series is heating up as Kyle Hardy, of Boiling Springs, PA, took the points lead after a 4th place effort at Lancaster on June 2nd. Defending champion, Tyler Millwood, of Kingston, GA sits just 4 points back as the series will invade Fayetteville Motor Speedway on June 9th. Enoree, SC’s Zach Mitchell, coming off his second win of the 2018 ULTIMATE season, sits in third, 10 points out of the lead. Joey Coulter of Troutman, NC and Jeff Smith of Gastonia, NC round out the top five.

The USA 100 is the richest single day event in Late Model racing nationwide. The ULTIMATE Super Late Models compete for $20,000 to win and $575 to start while the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance battles 40-laps for $3,000 to win and $275 to start.

Gates open at 4pm, with hot laps beginning at 6pm and racing at 7pm. Features are slated to begin at 9pm. Grandstand admission is $30, Seniors $25, Military $20, Students $15. Pit admission is $45.

If you haven't been to a VMS race, you've missed a great opportunity! Visit Williamsburg and/or Yorktown the next day or take in all the water related activities in that part of Virginia.
