What guys do you think could run on a national tour with the proper funding (full season)?

There are probably lots of guys that have the funding now but the experience and the knowledge can't be bought.

Max Blair and Tyler Carpenter are the only ones I can think of. You pretty much have to win every race and half track the field at home before you can even think of running against the big guys. If you're winning all of them by two or three cars I'd say you're good enough to run a regional "chase the money" type schedule.

HoosierDirtFan Babb ran on a tour when he drove for Bowyer in 2008. And didn't Shirley get 9th in points in 2016 running all 40 events?

Racing is a lot like golf , there is a major diminishing return on additional investment and effort. If you shoot a 120 with no lessons and then a 100 after 2 lessons you won’t shoot an 80 after 2 more lessons. Having 1 or 2 top notch race cars and then spending another 200k for 2 more doesn’t mean you will finish any better. Jarod landers hardly races and started Up towards the front at the dream.... so if he raced every week he would never lose a race right ? If Jason Jameson just had 6 more cars he would have led all 100 instead of 8 right ?

I remember him and Babb both on tour in the late 2000's; but for some reason don't remember either of them running the full season.

Says on his website Babb has 12 WoO and 12 Lucas wins.

When you look at his wins they are quite impressive.

If we are just saying funding... I'll say it AGAIN Carpenter and Jameson. If those 2 ran the entire season I think many would be surprised by their accomplishments. That 12 car would have a few wins and ROY

Jameson has yet to prove this year that he can keep a car together. Its been an issue of his almost his entire career.

Jason ran most of speedweeks and every night he made the race he did nothing but cause cautions... and he only made it a few times thanks to a fast time provisional

From a distance, Jeff Rine looks like a guy I'd like to see outside of PA more.
