Ray Cook Competes in Bill Ingram Memorial; Puts on Promoter’s Hat for Month of July

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) A week removed from his first win of the season at Dixie Speedway, Ray Cook and the Wynn Motorsports team returned to the Woodstock, Georgia facility to compete in the 'Bill Ingram Memorial' on Saturday evening, June 30. The unsanctioned special for the Super Late Models boasted a $3,000 paycheck. Ray posted the eighth quickest lap overall during the time trial session and later started the 40-lap feature event from the outside of the fourth row. The Brasstown, North Carolina native then slipped outside of the top ten during the running of the 'Bill Ingram Memorial' and eventually garnered a twelfth place showing. Complete results from Dixie Speedway can be found online at www.dixiespeedway.com.

Ray and the #53 team have opted to take the upcoming July 6-7 weekend off from racing competition. In fact, Ray is not scheduled to race the entire month of July, as he will put his promoter’s hat on with the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series. The popular miniseries will sanction eleven races at eleven different venues in the states of Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia from July 14-28.
