Nascar is not going down. There are certainly several issues that need to be dealt with, but it has probably bottomed out in popularity. I do not want to see any form of auto racing fail. I still favor dirt car LM and sprints, but I like Nascar too. It is still very popular. There may well be a change in who runs and how things are done, though.

Why all the griping about so called cookie cutter tracks? Is there a different shape that the following tracks should have been made as? And if so, what is this shape?

    Atlanta 1960 1.54-mile
    Lowes 1960 1.5-mile
    Michigan 1967 2-mile
    Texas 1995 1.5-mile
    Las Vegas 1996 1.5-mile
    California 1997 2-mile
    Kentucky 2000 1.5-mile
    Chicago 2001 1.5-mile
    Kansas 2001 1.5-mile
