Sounds like they went the way of Brownstown Speedway, where some drivers go ape if they actually water the track.

What a joke of track prep work from oakshade! It’s the summer nationals, they pack the house ,you always bring in close to 50 lates and its a one lane bottom dominate track! Just totally different from years past, and boring for the racers and fans!

The race actually stunk big time. I think they rushed to start the race because of threatening weather. I started feeling raindrops and all of a sudden they were rushing to start the features.

The bottom line is oakshade has a great fan base, a ton of kids, usually a good racing surface. But it is always going to be Bush league as long as a few things don't get addressed at some point, the restroom situation is pathetic, and the flagman is a joke. I wish the flagman had the decency to let the fans and drivers know the halfway point, 10 to go, 5 to go and 2 to go. Do they have to be that lazy and disrespectful.

Worst race I have seen on DoD since the train at Mansfield. Both terrible. Can't believe the good things I've heard about Oakshade after what I saw tonight.. bummer.

Yes anymore it's a dust bowl too cheap to put new clay on so the sand just blows around like a dust storm

They never work up the track and get the water down into it. Friday night it was literally blowing dust before the first green flag in the first hot lap session. The run that (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) water truck around all night before every race but don't realize it don't help the dust only makes the track slimy for the first few laps.

I won't go back to Oakshade.... It's a dust bowl and the place is lit with candles and you can't see a thing. The facilities are better in a 3rd world countries than this place. They haven't put a dime into it for 27 years since I first went there in 1991. Yes, it's cheap to get in and the food is reasonably priced but I'd rather pay an extra $5-$10 and go somewhere that's not such a dump.
