Rod Conley Keeps Rolling at Atomic; Picks Up Fifth Victory of 2018 Campaign!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) "Hot Rod" Conley visited victory lane for the fifth time in 2018 on Saturday night, July 14 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio! Rod qualified well and later won his heat race in preliminary action. After leading all 25 circuits in the weekly Super Late Model feature event, Rod earned the $2,000 paycheck over Jason Montgomery, Duane Chamberlain, Chris Shannon, and Greggie Oliver. All five of the Wheelersburg, Ohio native's triumphs this year have come at the former K-C Raceway!

Delmas and R.J. Conley were also in competition on Saturday evening, but at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Another weekly Super Late Model program was held at the track located on the banks of the Ohio River and a $2,000 top prize was on the line. Delmas laid down the tenth fastest lap during the qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in his heat race. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer then started and finished second in the A-Main behind only victor Eddie Carrier, Jr. His son R.J. was close behind, as the driver of the #71c placed second in his heat race and third in the feature event. Rod Conley will head back to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio this Saturday, July 21 looking for yet another victory. The 4th Annual ‘Bob Crace Sr. Memorial’ will be held this weekend at Atomic and a $2,023 payday awaits the winner of the unsanctioned Super Late Model contest. Delmas Conley, on the other hand, will make a return trip to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for another $2,000 to win battle. R.J.
